
Robotic Automatic Welding Collaboration System
A customized multi-functional integrated manufacturing system linking robot-automatic welding equipment, built for special valves needing hard surfacing at hard-seal areas and mechanical joints. It enables full-process automatic, unmanned transfer, positioning and welding of high-temperature valve bodies — resolving cracks from improper preheating and heat loss during manual handling.
Overview
Per operational requirements, special valves require hard surfacing at hard-seal areas and mechanical joints. Differences in mechanical properties (e.g., toughness, plasticity) between the valve body and cladding materials can easily cause cladding layer cracks if the process is improper. Thus, valve body preheating is mandatory before weld-depositing.
However, the preheated valve body has extremely high surface temperature. Traditional manual operations pose risks of scalds and other accidents; moreover, heat loss during manual transfer causes rapid temperature drop, failing to meet the process temperature requirement for subsequent inner hole weld-depositing and directly affecting welding quality and product qualification rate.
Leveraging our technical accumulation in independent software development and professional experience in welding automation, we customized a “multi-functional integrated manufacturing system with robot-automatic welding equipment linkage” to address these pain points. The system enables full-process automatic and unmanned operation of high-temperature valve body transfer, positioning and welding, accurately resolving technical challenges in special material valve manufacturing.
