CZ-MA Saddle Welder

CZ-MA is a compact CNC multi-axis automatic welding machine — also called an intersecting-line welding special machine — purpose-built for saddle (branch-to-main pipe) joints. Multi-axis servo linkage handles rotation, radial extension, vertical lift and torch oscillation, with closed-loop control delivering near-100% first-time NDT pass rates and 80%+ fewer defects than manual welding.

Overview

The saddle weld (saddle mouth weld seam) is formed by the curved intersection of the main pipe cylinder and the branch pipe, creating a saddle-like shape. Traditional manual welding is extremely difficult and results in unstable quality.

The CZ-MA was specially developed for this type of saddle joint fabrication. It is a compact CNC multi-axis automatic welding machine, also known as an intersecting line welding special machine.

The improved version can adapt to various welding processes, such as submerged arc welding (SAW), gas shielded welding (MIG/MAG), argon arc welding (TIG), and others.
